Geeknight #2: "virtual reality and htmls"

Organisation and work pressures combined a couple of nights ago to prevent me going to the second Geek Night. By all accounts it was even better than the first, and attracted interest from both BBC Radio Oxford (interview) and BBC South Today (YouTube clip) showed interest this time round.

Hopefully we (by which I mean Natalie plus lots of other people more organised than me) can use this as a springboard for plenty more unofficial tech events in Oxford. Word has it that #2 yesterday, though very good, ended up being a bit talk-heavy and male-oriented compared to #1---both indicative of oversubscription more than anything else, I think---so a few more events would be really welcome, and would take the pressure off what's clearly become the must-attend date in the Oxford geek's social calendar.

Given that #2 took place outside term-time, imagine what Geeknight #3 will be like, towards the end of Trinity term. We'll have to extend the Jericho's first floor with scaffolding.
