Drupal is 13 years old this January: specifically, this Wednesday, the 15th. There's a plan afoot to give Drupal a little birthday present this year.
If you're free for an hour or two and could help out with some Drupal 8 patches, then there's going to be a rolling sprint on the day, with people hopping in and out as they're free to do so. You don't need to be a rockstar developer to help out: it's still helpful to the D8 cause if you can just repeat someone else's problem, or maybe tidy up a bug report (or clarify it, or say you can't repeat it yourself, or help fix someone's broken English.)
Anyway, I'm hoping to be there, family commitments permitting. I might even see you on IRC!
